What is Varicose Vein?

Varicose Vein is a term commonly refers to leg veins that have become enlarged and tortuous due to polled blood flow instead of blood flow to the heart.

This is caused by the upwards flow of blood and due to disfunctional valves in the vein resulting in insufficient blood supply to the leg. This phenomenon is called valvular incompetence
